Happy New Year to everyone!
We
look forward to a year of improvements and efficiencies in the North West based
on the excellent start made by everyone last year and hopefully unfettered by
bureaucracy.
Procurement of Computer
Systems and general points
1.
There are expressions of interest in joining with existing procurement
exercises for the following computer systems:
·
Council
Tax
·
Benefits
·
Financial Accounting
·
HR and
Payroll
2.
If Councils are engaged in such procurement or are about to be so engaged
please will they contact the Centre.
3.
This is also a useful opportunity to remind members that any imminent
procurement exercises should usefully be notified to the Centre who will ensure
that the Contracts Workstream or other appropriate Workstream is informed to see
if any help can be provided.
4.
When contracts are being advertised they should be described as being
available to all members of the Centre. Again help can be provided on this.
New Faces
5.
Beth Loudon, the Assistant Director and two Technical Support Staff, Bev
Brooks and Shelley Taylor have now joined Colin and Viv. With this the Centre’s
Team are now in place. This then will be my last news update as I hand over to
Colin and the Team. All queries should now go to him. Thank you all for your
support over the last seven months.
