Audit of Existing Collaborations across the North West

 

Sarah Bellis-Jones is acting as a Business Analyst on behalf of the NWCE to undertake an audit of existing collaborations in the North West.

A questionnaire (in spreadsheet format) is being circulated to all local authorities in the North West requesting details of any/all collaborations in which they play a lead role. A copy is available by following this link - www.nwce.org.uk/collaboratives-return.xls

This questionnaire needs to be completed and returned to Sarah by Friday 12th August 2005.

Waste Management

 

The North West Centre of Excellence has engaged Andrew Callander to carry out a piece of work looking at waste management. The objective of the study is to identify the areas where the North West Centre of Excellence can add value to and improve efficiency in the procurement and delivery of waste management services.  The work will include looking at:

 

Current activity in the North West in waste management, including role and activity of national organisations (4Ps, OGC etc).

What potential efficiencies can be achieved.

What are the barriers to achieving these efficiencies.

Who are the key stakeholders and how might they work together.

 

The outcomes of this study will be to:

 

Identify opportunities for collaboration in waste management.

Provide recommendations on how the NWCE can add value to existing waste management activity and initiatives.
